I've got a 360 [distinctly underwhelmed], and a Gamecube [just completed the princess twilight - best Zelda EVER], but i've been thinking about getting a PS2. They are practically giving them away in England - should i get one? Are there decent games for it?

[obviously i want a PS3, but at the moment they are ridiculously expensive]

Unless you've purchased that 9" strap on you inquired about I don't see why you can't indulge in some normal hobbies

not sure you would need to look for the specific games thats unique for the ps2, there's some great titles but you can play them on other formats like resident evil iv (gamecube) or san andreas (xbox, play it on your 360)

but if some of the unique titles like shadow of the colossus and ICO are your cup of tea you should get one for those

I've had all the good Gamecube games. Part exchanged my xbox for a 360.

well i dont think there's gonna be many more games specifically for hte ps 2 so whats out now is pretty much whats there

and itll probably be another 6-12 months before the ps3 get some unique titles

I want one because i'm a Nintendo junkie - but i'm really put off by the controllers. Seems to much like a gimmic - and i don't buy the Adonis theory that they're great for cardio

Dude the wii is changing games.. completely, and for a LONG time.

It's not a gimmic... trust me. I work for a gaming company... The Wii is single handedly changing the way people will game in the future.

We have some really fun Wii stuff coming out here. The Wii is the stuff.

My brother would get so worked up about those silly games he used to meltdown completely and throw them through the house ............. poor boy destroyed 4 of them

Haha... Bluto, you're funny.

I work for a game company... Our entire shift is away from the PS3 to the Wii... The wii is outselling EVERY other console right now.

There are a TON of innovative things coming out from 3rd parties (Have you seen what Rockstar is doing with the Wii? Amazing)

You will eat your words Bluto... sorry to say it, but you really are wrong on this one.

The Wii is the most fun to play because you actually get involved beyond pushing some buttons... Like I said... lots of great stuff coming out.

I'd tell you about a cool title we're releasing, but it's against my company policy... It's only in development, but it looks FUN.

Oh, and if you're all about graphics, then you're playing games for the wrong reason... I play them because they're fun.

graphics is part of it. i rather play resident evil anyday over ping pong with a nunchuck or what the hell its called

yeah and how much would that cost? they keep telling me it's cheaper than both the xbox 360 and the ps3 but friends are not included

I'm going to answer this together because they're kind of the same.

What constitutes "Fun".

Every person I've ever heard say X system is a "kids" system has been under the age of like 24 and only bought something because it's "cool".

I've been playing games a lot of years... I actually owned an original pong, and have had almost every single game console since.

If you think that game makers follow some "kids" thought mentality, you're insane... They make the games for the system that sells the most, and right now, the Wii is outselling everything around the world 2 to 1.

Bluto, Nintendo games are NOT for kids! No 'kid' could solve alot of the puzzles in the Zelda games, or complete Metroid etc.

I agree with Saxon in that i'm sure Wii's are great with your friends - but waving a 'nunchuk' around on your own is a little bit ... sad. Maybe i will be proved wrong. I hope so because i still have all the Nintendo systems and love them all. [Super Mario Kart on the Snes is the GREATEST game of all time]

yes they can. last i checked 7 year olds played those games and completed them

really so why isnt everybody making games for the wii then? last i checked there's been companies making games for all kinds of systems and not just for the top seller.

and some games are primary for kids and some are for grown ups

you think they make postal for kids? or condemened ?
