Best legs, yes. Best quads, NO. Ronnie has the best quads.

Platz has the best hamstrings, by far. Matarazzo, Dorian had better calves. But best legs, all parts considered is Platz, by far.

you think we are all nuts but we are actually 100% correct in what we say over on the other thread.

many people feel that ronnie's quads (at his best) have surpassed toms.

its not the 1970's anymore.

Platz is the last word for decades now, making the thread pointless.

When Coleman was leaner and lighter the thighs were great but even then Platz's thighs are ridiculous, too much for anyone. For more relative size than even Coleman. Also Most of Ron's career now he's been heavier the thighs got too big and he didn't focus enough on keeping them refined, IMO. Early on he looked great but even then Platz's thighs are so crazy, the degree of striations, ridiculous size, perfect shape & aesthetics, and better dryness than Coleman. And Platz's calves were better. Ron also never had the degree of insane striations & dryness Platz had even on his hams.

well, for starters, check out Ronnie at 275 pounds ripped to shreads in the battle for the olympia 2002 tape.

platz's quads could not compare to that.

I am not out to turn this into another ronnie worshipping thread.

the whole reason Icecold posted this in the first place is that the comment was made by him that NO ONE thinks that Ronnie has better quads than Platz.

I commented that on the contrary, if you look around on the net, many people do.

they don't exist...Ronnie's may measure bigger by the tape but Platz's quads can not be matched....And never will IMOP

Coleman quads aren't close to Platz's in any fashion. Except they are darker. No one has the all-round size, separation and fullness as Platz. Just incredible. And taken into account they were mostly made from heavy lifting and didn't count on as much drugs as the guys of today. Platz had huge legs all his life.

In a nutshell. Add the fact Platz was drier. Coleman's weren't even as big relative to his size, and when he got heavier he lost a lot of detail. When he was lighter he was even farther away in terms of size, and still never bone-dry like Platz.

Still not as big relative to height, and nowhere near the details.

best legs top to bottom for sure - his hams and calves were both amazing.

well, there is some debate on that one..

Good God you talk some shit about Ronnie. His quads are enormous, yes - and World-class - but they are also oddly formed and offset by non-proportional lower-legs. Platz was something else, and Ronnie can't touch him in this area.
