Prison Planet with Cadillac ads
« on: June 01, 2007, 11:35:20 AM »
i've been growing more and more annoyed with the site lately.  it's nice to read 911 news and see what the mainstream media isn't reporting.  however their headlines like "it's coming... some will survive... some won't" and the recent selling out of cadillac ads on their page is disheartening.

The far right (fox news and the like) will use fear tactics (fear of terrorists) to get you to vote repub, and to tune in.
The far left (pplanet and the like) will use fear tactics (fear of govt) to get you to vote dem, and to tune in.

it's all about money.  How can politics be fun when neither side is honest?  Everything we argue here is just our interpretations of lies and misinfo.  It's likely we're ALL wrong, and just wasting time.  I'm growing bored with it.  spent the whole morning outside playing in the rain with the family.  way more fun than following this stuff anymore.  240 is retiring from politics.

You hold Prison Planet to high standards?

Consider the websites you've designed over the years, and the banners you've had on your and your customers websites.

Then ask yourself: Why are you give Prison Planet shit for putting Cadillac ads up?

I mean, you've designed a website for a "female" bodybuilder, who's in the business of advicing women of using male hormones.

Easy money, sure. But what kind of ethics did you display there?

I don't like Prison Planet. But that's not the issue.

I wonder why you have different standards for Prison Planet than for yourself?

Do you subscribe to: Do like I say, not like I do?

Or what?

And what kind of ethics did you display when you designed a website for a "female" bodybuilder where she/he sells her male hormone guru services to women?

He got paid to do a job.  His personal ethics have nothing to do with her business.

Kind of hard to separate the two.  I wouldn't put my personal ethics on the shelf to make money.

240 or Bust blasts Prison Planet for bringing in Cadillac ads.

That's why I'm asking him about his personal ethics in his business.

It would be interesting to see 240 or Bust's reasoning behind critising Prison Planet.

He is researching the internet looking for a quote to use....he doesn't have many thoughts of his own and when he does he sticks his foot in his mouth like this instance or talking about obliterating Iran yet he says he is against Iraq....

240 is back, I am shocked to see you calling Prison Planet 'far left'. I tend to think of that website as apolitical, but if anything, would you not characterize Alex Jones and the like as 'far right'? Perhaps when you go ‘far enough left’ it meets ‘far enough right’?

I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of their alarmist literature. However, they are still an excellent resource for alternative information, particularly regarding the campaign of Ron Paul. I cannot disagree strongly enough with your disappointment in their sponsorship from Cadillac; in my eyes, that is precisely the direction we want to see responsible American corporations heading.
