This thread kind of gave me a craving for sushi, so I just had it for dinner a few hours ago. I was the only bodybuilder in the restaurant. Adonis, any insight on why the rest of the people were there?

This is not TJ, but I saw him a few weeks ago at the Mr. Wisconsin, he's looking large as usual. I think he's back in the NPC and will be doing next years masters nationals, not sure though. Anyhow, im still horribly confused as to what the hell all the non-bodybuilders were doing in that sushi restaurant. Someone, preferably Adonis, help me to understand this mystery.

Sushi can get very expensive. When my girlfriend and I go out, our meal usually runs us between 70-90 dollars. Im assuming the cost factor is why Adonis doesnt eat sushi.

I eat sushi because it tastes good and it tastes "refreshing." Avocado's remind of that too.

I am pretty sure I read a book by the guy that Adonis is pasting (if it isn't him, they use similar examples and language). He's usually right; it's alomost backwards the way we define things healthy and unhealthy. His big example was the apple and the big mac - which one is better for you? The apple is pretty much a waste of time, the only thing it really has going for it is some fiber. The bic mac has a pretty good proportion or what is recommended for vitamins and minerals, it has protein, fiber, and isn't even all that bad for you in terms of calories and fat (it's the fries that do it). If you eat the same number of calories in apples (or let's say a mixed salad) vs a big mac, the big mac is hands down the winner. Yet the salad is healthy while the big mac is practically considered to be a heart attack.

I kind of agree with TA here. Lots of douche bags trying to be little Jay Cutlers loving the sushi, like its some kind opf special food or something. Like its some kind of elite food that will help with muscle growth and your status in the community

One fat little dude I know who always brags about being "best friends" with Cutler, was plodding along on the treadmill one day, and the little danny divito look alike told me how we was out last night and ate $110 in sushi....like I was to be impressed or something. I took one look at his huge belly and just walked away shaking my head. But I think in his mind his imagined freindship with Cutler and the fact his fat ass ate $110 of crap sushi made him a hardcore BB.

Same with cheesecake. I think it is fashionable for a bodybuilder to say 'cheesecake' when they list their favorite cheat dessert food.

I agree 100% with Adonis on this too (minus the suit). There's a perfect population that pretty much does this day in and out - prisoners. Their diet is usually pretty damn lousy. But you go to a medium+ security prison and you'll have no problems finding guys who eat crap and end up huge and cut. They could theoretically be bodybuilders if they actually stayed out pf prison. They are pretty much a test of his hypothesis, and they are perfect for it because they aren't even doing it knowingly or on purpose. There's no such thing as cheat days, no whey shakes, no casein at night, no creatine or bcaa's, none of that shit. It's pork products, potatoes, canned green beans, salisbury "steaks" (pork with added dye), and whatever junk food they can buy. They probably get under 100 grams of protein per day.
