Wouldn't classify a greyhound as less than obedient, but other than racing they're good for nothing... and there are a handful of far better hunting dogs. Appearance wise they are hideous looking and are notoriously lazy couch potatoes, boxers have far more perkiness and an equally gentle disposition, they are far better family dogs imo and are consistently ranked in the AKC top 10 breeds. Not to mention there are too damn many greyhounds, in 2005 alone close to 30k were born and I would guess at least or close to 15k were killed. People who want real dogs who can protect their property, are great with kids, and who have un matched skill should just get a dogo argentino.
