Stark, as with all things change is the only constant.

Branch did what they judges and IFBB higher ups wanted..they wanted more mass and that is that he did. Branch and others did what ever it took to place high. Now it appears that the the judges and higher ups are heading in a NY direction.

For the current mass monsters it is pretty hard to change to the new direction in a short time span. Branch et al can try to drop some weight but I am not sure if they can present a package to compete with the young gun in one off season.

I am not sure what he can do at this stage of the game..My best guess is that he try to ride it out, keep trying to place high and cash checks while knowing full well that he is on the downward side of everything.

I don't think he can be "reversed." The only guy that I've ever seen do anything similar to reversing  the effects of the size game, was J.D. Dawadou (sp?). Came in huge, then cutback on his size and went for symmetry and proportion, got hosed at a show and promptly disappeared from the scene and retired.
I think the only thing that can help Branch, and I really wish I was wrong, would be to retire or take some serious time off- from drugs, the sport, training, and just rest his body.
