Islam is 200 years behind christianity.. You can't see that because of your situation.. You have money and are around people who're educated and well off. Naturally you assume that this growing problem is still in the minority. Well it is, but not to the point where it should be disregarded.
The newer the religion, the more extremist it is. You don't see people who worship the sun god causing any shit.
This may be true for other religions, but not for Christianity. Many of the first Christians were poor, uneducated people. A few were rich and educated. Nevertheless, for the first few hundred years of Christianity, you never heard of Christians being violent. On the contrary, while they were persecuted, arrested, tortured and killed, they never fought back. Hundreds of years later, you hear of the Crusades, Inquisitions, etc, by so called "Christians" who were mostly wealthy, educated people (The Roman Catholic Church). Then, many hundreds of years later, you hear of so called "Christians" who were mostly wealthy, educated people, fighting the abolition of slavery and exterminating Native Americans. Christianity's age, Christians' education or wealth have nothing to do with it. Christianity is a religion of peace and love. That is what Jesus Christ taught his followers and that is what is recorded in the New Testament.
