HUnting safety firts..my kid doesn't need to know how to pie a room and then take it down...how to reload his H@K special MP5 10 MIL with laster scope and telescoping stock. Further how to spread load his compbat shotgun for room clearing..hinge removal and riot control. He needs to make sure he keeps his rifle on safe and not to point it at people. .....Make sure he has his deer tags and that he wears his vest.

But it wouldnt hurt if he knew a bit about all the weapons you mention, there are a lot of them, and they R damn fun to shoot ;D

He's gotten to ride on a tank and fire blanks from the .50 cal. He's seen a combined arms live fire with tanks, Brads and Apaches...

Cool, shooting is very enjoyable to me, it's too bad kids shooting each other in our cities has given the anti-guners so much amo. Also loosing a lot of country land that used to be able to shoot Hi power rifles on out by me.
I think NRA has offered schools gun safety classes and been turned down. That's stupid. Politics..

Again i  think it depends on where u are. I carry concealed..i want my Gf and my ex wife to consider carring as well. i'm in KC, not far from where that poor 18 year old girl got obducted. Any time i go anywhere near down town, and its a bad area...i make sure that folks can see the cannon i have strapped to me...gas stations etc. I've had guys give my GF a hard time when pumping gas...once i come back I walk over and make sure my jacket rides up. I wasn't so brazen until after I can back from the last deployment but crime is out of control..people screw with u in cities without any common decency.

Up here in the Liberal Utopia I live next to ::) we aint EVER getting CCW through. Madison Wi is pretty safe, but it's got its spots. I'd like to pack Mr Glock or Smith with me to the S. side Asian food store when I take wifey, but getting caught is not a nice thought. Im not sure how much grief I'd get over that?
Pistol is a good size chunk of metal to hide in the hot weather.

Out here in farm country everyone owns guns. Hey, have U check'd out these new air rifles? 1000fps. very accurate. No complaints from the neighbors. Good practice. Need real good form to group well.
