And you've got my point exactly. American English is to say every word in one sylabble if you can and without using your mouth muscles. (Like Can't. Are you saying you can or you can't?

I can't understand most of what you say when you talk lazy. It makes far more sense to me to speak in a way which is properly understood.

And Linda...American's "drawl"? The English (from what I have seen) are the worst when it comes to dropping off letters in words. Unless you're what they consider "proper" it is sometimes very hard to understand what an English person is saying.

I know the difference in the accent is due to the class/education/area brought up in over there in England. I had an English teacher and she was quite refined. Loved her accent. She had explained to us the differences in the "English" accent and so I do know that all English do not sound alike (like American's do not as well)

As far as Katie and Peter...their reality show is on cable channels here. They aired their wedding. It was quite amusing, to say the very least.
