If the town or city does not already have one, name it after the town.
Ex . " Springboro Fitness" or after some common nickname/ aspect of the town "Port city gym"
This way you tie in with the entire local community.

good luck with the gym, you will need it.  hope you aren't looking to make more than a couple thousand a year if you open a hard core gym.
I always find that funny anyway, hard core lifters can get huge in a unisex, everyone welcome type gym so opening a hard core gym is ridiculous from a profit standpoint.

Sorry I haven't been able to come through and produce any candidate names you might like, these past two months or so. God knows I've tried.

Have you thought of names that are hardcore in a way, but don't evoke images of roided-out bodybuilders throwing 45 lbs plates around like frisbees and being dicks to the 'smaller' members? How about something related to the Greek traditions and legends of athletics and strength? Like Herculeum or Herculaneum?
