I am training Kimbo right now, and I have to say that he is one of the BEST fighters I have EVER trained. He really listens to you and does what you say, do you know how hard that it? If he's dead tired, and I tell him five more rounds, he looks at me, but doesn't say anything, he just does it.
I entroduced him to the Bas Rutten MMA workout, he was SO tired, he told me that he has never been as tired. Today I was teaching him again, he asked me in the beginning "Are we ging to do the Bas Rutten workout?" But he said it in a crazy way, so I asked him "Do you want to do it?". He said "Please, yes!" I asked him why, because all my PROFESSIONAL fighters don't want to do it.
He said "Bas, I want to conquer this thing, I want to do it!" Man, he gets, Lots, and losts of respect!

All the shit that people write about him, I am telling you, and I hope you know I don't lie, he's a trooper! I wish that all my fighters would be like him. Even my wife loves the guy. He is SO respectful and uses NO bad language in front of kids (my two little daughters love him, and they don't like anybody!), I am REALLY, blown away.

He really deserves this, I think this. Can a boxer be a MMA FIGHTER? We all know the answer, but can a street fighter be an MMA fighter? We all KNOW the answer to that!

I would wish that all my fighters were like him, like I said, I can put him through every workout I give him, he WILL do it, no questions asked.

I hope you guys meet Kimbo one day, you will be blown away. I just came back from an MMA event and I brought him there, just see how he is with the fans, it's crazy!

You also know that I would NEVER train an asshole, so trust me, but he's got me, Shawn Tompkins (who trained him longer than I have,) and Randy Kathami (boxing coach for my gym) respect. I REALLY love the guy.

Kimbo is also training at Exteme Couture with Randy, Phil Baroni, Forrest, Jay, etc.... He should take Mercer down immediately if he is smart.

oh shit, nearly forgot, kimb vs mercer:

i haven't seen mercer for years. i think the wlad klitschko was the last time i saw mercer. was that like 7 years ago or something? sadly his prime was probably another 12 years before that.

he got a beating that night but if he can be within 70% of that form he'll make light work of kimbo. rutten conditioning will not prepare kimbo for a mercer with a heart beat.

Previously Bas fought in Pancrase, a league that didn't allow punches to the face.

I think as long as kimbo doesnt stay right in mercers face trading punches with him , then he wins
Mercer is washed up , got beat in K1, and this is a nice paycheck for him
and stop the Sean Gannon vs Kimbo vids, have them fight now and see what happens

ray is definitely washed up and it's sad to see such an all time great fighter chasing pay days like this.

to initiate him to the k 1 by putting him in with top flight competitor, remy bonjasky in the condition he was in speaks volumes about the retirement plans for pro fighters.

he was simply caught napping and completely unprepared for a brutal kick to the head from a guy who happens to be very very good at doing just that and is wayyyyyy beyond anything kimbo has shown.

kimbo is a brawler with some boxing skills. he is not going to suddenly become a great fighter just because bas is in his camp. kimbo does the same thing ray does only he's nowhere near the same class of fighter

i dont know what sounded sicker the thuds to Morrisons jaw or the HUGE thud to his bank account after he was EXPOSED. If he beat Mercer , the money he wouldve made for fighting Tyson coming out of jail ,,,OMG 10-20 million he lost to Mercers fists

true, lewis did a nasty number on him too. he would have been good cannon fodder for post prison tyson but he was shot by that point.

tommy was doing alright with mercer for a while, but i think he completely underestimated just what a dnagerous man merciless was. tommy gassed himself going for the ko (he often had stamina problems) and the barrage from mercer was completely unexpected by him i think.

I like Kimbo's work ethic. He's in there training hard with the best available trainers and willing to humble himself to learn things outside his element.

Kimbo's always entertained me by knockin' fools out in parking lots on video, so fuck da' haters. I hope Kimbo whoops Mercer's ass and goes on to bigger and better paydays.
