Hey guys - I know I blast pretty much every religion out there, but Texans have a tendency to take their faith in God *very* seriously and in my experience, it's something they're proud of WITHOUT trying to shove their beliefs down anyone else's throat.
The fine folks at Metroflex are - in my opinion - examples of what good Christians should be.
A guy (Ronnie) who is/was sworn to uphold the law who consumes massive amounts of illegal drugs while busting others for the same thing? You're right, that sounds pretty Christian to me too...
By writing it on the wall of a public place it's disrespecting of other people. What if a Muslim did that , how would Ronnie and Co feel then?
Obviously I don't believe in God or organized religion. I think the whole thing was useful to tyrants in the middle ages to scare people into line (like George Bush has done). To me it demonstrates the weakness' of the human mind and spirit and is frankly absurd. That's for me personally. If you're a believer, more power to you and full respect to you. Just don't be hypocritical, and please keep your views to yourself because it's personal.
I've had plenty shoved down my throat. More here (Austin, TX) than anywhere else I've ever lived. It's not a Texas thing. It's a respect thing. You're either cool and you respect other people's right to make their own choices, or you're not.
