Wow!  I love women's bodybuilding, but jeez.  I'm so happy I turned down a pro card!  I'd hate to think vanity could bring me to the point of looking like some of those women.  I really wish the judges would do the right thing and start awarding more feminine looks or taking away the higher weight classes.  Do something.

This is a question to the pro women bodybuilders............ ...what in the hell prompts you "guys" to what to look like that? Damn, that was close to being one of the most disgusting sites of a female human I have ever seen.

Theres a girl at the golds I train at who is 185 at 5 % BF going into a show. She is a monster. Just completely huge with a -head out of this world. Looks like a giant gremlin.

I mean, massive gear usage can destroy the looks for guys as well, but it is somehow so much worse when it comes to females.

I think you are right, the only way this is going to change is if the judges refuse to reward such repulsive looking women

yeah, i give them the same reaction and believe me, at gold's venice (where i train) you see more than a few of these freaks. You can't help but have a disgusted facial expression when you see them.

one time, i using the hammer strength shoulder press and two of them came up to me and asked me to work in- they sounded like guys completely- a voice as deep as any guy- how pathetic.

See that's the thing....as also one of my close friends turned down her pro card. We have great, feminine female bodybuilders like you and her turning down pro cards for the reason you stated. I agree the judging needs to change.

This is why female bodybuilding gets no media attention. I could care less what they do or how they look, but reality is the vast majority of people don't want to see this.

Not all of the women competing at the show looked like men in bikinis, however when only TEN pro female bodybuilders show up for an olympia qualifying show, what does that tell say about the state of female bodybuilding today.

The heavy masculine look of some has negatively impacted the opportunities available to all female bodybuilders worldwide. A tiny percentage of female bodybuilders gear up to the point of having a simply shocking appearance, but every single female bodybuilder pays the penalty....as they are all painted with the same brush.

Well the same could be said about mens bodybuilding.  Some people just like to be huge freaks...I say more power to them.

And to Lift....What bodybuilding gets any kind of media attention anyway?  Media, schmedia the sport is cult like and will always be. I think its better that way, not some watered down version for the networks, but a true freak show where people take it to whatever extreem they like.

         Imagine waking up next to that face in the morning, with no makeup 

             She's got a great body for a 60 year old.  The drug abuse ages these people pre-maturely, another sign of how unhealthy the industry is.

I had a drink with her and her husband after the show. You wouldn't know it to look at her but she's a sweetheart. A very nice person.

I know. I can't either. She and a couple of the other competitors were shocking. I was just trying to say that the way she looks made it surprising when I discovered out how sweet she is.
