Part of what is called roid rage is the increased confidence that comes from being stronger and having bigger muscles. The hormones do fuck with moods somewhat, but not enough to cause a normally timid man to commit a double murder. With the bigger physique comes a feeling of invincibility that could lead someone to mouth off and try to intimidate when they would normally be quiet for fear of being beat up. If you want to say that the bigger muscles are the result of the roids and therefore the indirect cause of the rage, then I couldn't disagree with you.
