Questions for Bob Chick:
« on: June 28, 2007, 10:06:33 PM »
1.  I knew you said you guys were going to profile the training of some of the olympia competitors leading up to show.  I was just wondering how production is comming and when we could expect to see some of the stuff?  It sounds like a great idea that could help up the anticipation for the show.

2.  On a different note..what types of jobs do bodybuilders take BEFORE they become professional?  I know the topic has been dicussed of side jobs once pro status has been reached and other forms of imcome (guest posing, photos shoots, etc).  But my question is where do the guys get the money for supps, gym fees, etc, while trying to make it big?  I mean no disrespect, I just know that this sport requires the most around the clock dedication out of any sport, so I'm just trying to understand where they get/got the time for a day before they were pro? (sorry if the ? sounds confusing :-\ )

I would like to also ask Chick a question

1. Chick over on BB.com you guys have a mod named scott_donald who listed some poundages that many are questioning...Is it possible to get this kid on a fit show episode to show us all his feats of strength and shut up the haters...Esp/his squats...If he is for real, he would make the old Platz squat video look like child's play...

::) The most dedication? Your typical NFL player deals with a grueling 16 week season. Many then move on to the post season. In that time they spend hours and hours studying game film, and there respective playbooks. They spend hours in the gym training ( many while dealing with injury) They travel all over the country, and play games in all types of shitty weather. They dont see there family or wives/gf's. All this while participating in a actual sport that requires superior athletic ability. Competing against the worlds best athletes.

I'm so sick of bb primadona's. I respect the drive bb's have.Honestly it has gotten to the point where bb's are starting to sound like jokes. While bb takes a ton of dedication, I could think of a few real sports that require more then eating ,sleeping , taking juice, lifting and dieting for 3 months.

Most of this is right, except that maybe you don't know how hard dieting can be.

Also, it's Primadona.

Damn spell check!!! I am not trying to take a shot at what bb's go through. Dieting can be very very grueling. I think it is a bit overblown tho.

nowhere in the definiton of the word "sport" is the word "dedication" mentioned

sport(spôrt, sprt)

b. A particular form of this activity.
2. An activity involving physical exertion and skill that is governed by a set of rules or customs and often undertaken competitively.
