ISOLATED PROTEIN
MULTIVITAMINS
ARGININE (AKG)
GLUTAMINE.....etc

*depending on what company makes them, they are good to have/use.

isolated protein (for example) - where else can can you get just protein, no fat, no carbs, and its not a dry ass piece of chicken?
(unless you get your protein straight from the tap...in which case, i dont mean to pry into your personal life!)  :-X

no homo!
but besides that, if buying those four things is going to break your bank account, maybe its time to reevaluate your life.

Also, whey protein prices have SKIROCKETED over the last 3-4 months.

It is insane.  Good stuff Jeff! People need to know this as we are not raising our prices because we want to, because we HAVE to.

WW

Where has this skyrocketing occured? I just bought a 6-lb bag of EAS Whey protein for $26 at Sam's last week.

Looks like the cost of some protein powders has gone up yet again.  Caseinate is now listed at $9.99 per pound on proteinfactory's site and $8.83 at Truprotein.  Yikes!

Well seeing as how I don't use anything other than a multivitamin I think I will be okay...I get everything else from whole foods...Who would rather drink protein shakes over eating some fish or chicken anyway????

Ever heard of "conveinence"...?

Egg whites.

Also several varieties of seafood.

Protein powder is a convenience, but it's hardly a necessity.

You are buying old stock.

The bag says "Best by 1 APR 2009". That doesn't sound that old to me.

Plus, in the previous months this years, I've had great deals on protein powder, specifically ON Classic Whey and ON 100% Whey Gold Standard. Even my old favorite weight gainer, N-Large2 runs for about $42 for a 10-lb bucket. And, that's not counting the grocery stores that carry Body Fortress Whey protein for around $8 to $12 for a 2-lb container.

So, again, I must ask from where are these astronomical prices coming.

What he means is the stuff you bought was manufactured before the price increases happened.

You can ask again, but I already answered the question.  The wholesale cost of whey has increased significantly in the last few months.

After seeing on the news that milk prices could reach $5 a gallon in a couple of months, I'm going to Sam's Club and GNC to load up on some of that "old stock". Where's my Gold Card!!!? ;D

I just saw a couple of boxes of ON's Whey Meal for $38 each at GNC (just over $30 with the discount).
