What's wrong with it?  That touchscreen shit work right?

Exactly. My GH big fingers never land on the right zone and it's to sensitive, when you flip it 50% of the time the screen doesn't switch to lanscape mode. Pocket dials every 5 mins. they say it's "human skin sensored" but this isn't really working...

On and the battery life is like 4 hours tops...

Overhyped and overrated.  My Blackberry Pearl is far superior to that, and I didn't even have to wait in line to buy it.  ::)

To be honest, the biggest turnoff is the fucking androgenous metrosexual fucksticks walking around with it like it's the cure for cancer...

Thank god I'm not in the bay area anymore.. I would go on a bashing spree downtown San Jose with my Slugger 35oz.

No shit, I just can't imagine how this thing's gonna work just right, and that's what it's gonna take to make worth messing with it any more than the first couple of months it's out...

Well dude I had that Blackberry Pearl for like 2 days and didn't even have the energy to try to figure all that shit out and wound up just keeping my RAZR.  So what do you think it'll be like with this iPhone if it doesn't work worth a shit?   ;D

1. 2-megapixel camera when others have 5-megapixel shooters on board

2. 5-hour talk time: not enough battery life

3. No expansion slot. Go for the 8-gig model and that's it.

4. No 3G: EDGE is so last year

5. No removable battery: You mean we can't take along a spare battery? WTF?

Dude doesn't it have wi-fi capability though?  So that you can get online with it anywhere you are that has wireless for free?

typical scenario, you'll be coming back from the gym, i'll been beeping because the battery is about to die (really does that) then taking it out of your pocket with slightly slippy hands, it'll fall and crash like an iPod ;D

The browser interface is amazing, however MSFT is coming up with a new browser as well for their Windows Mobile platform. iPod Killer ;D

Oh did I mentioned to short Apple? The iPhone hype is deeply priced in and a slight "setback" will plunge the stock a good 20%.

Take notes.

sounds like a pain in the ass never the less.

You bet. and when on wi-fi, sometimes the calls wouldn't come in.

Would you reccommend this phone?  Honest opinion compared to I guess the pearl? I am really leaning towards buying one.

I would wait at least 3 months. Wothwhile at 300$ not at 600$+

The PDA I have right now, Verizon XV6700 runs windows mobile 5, outlook emails, very good speed fullblown browser... Windows Media player etc...

I beleive it's like 199 after rebate with a 2yr contract these days. But they're coming with the new generation of this one as well.

Bottom line, I would wait a couple of week in either case.

Would you say this is the Iphones counterpart or other viable option?

What are your fees associated with online usage?(monthly)
That outlook capability is very appealing, need that for playing golf during work hours.

Funtionality wise, it's the closest. I get all my outlook crap in real time. It's pretty cool for that indeed.

I get 20% from my job but I think for 69.99 you get 300min + unlimited data...

Maps!!!!  Dude, get a bluetooth GPS (the key chain size ones).

Then get TomTom Navigator on your XV6700. It'll change your life...

Sweet!!  That is exactly what I need.  I don't want just a tom tom because when I travel, I fly and use rentals so I don't want to lug a bunch of shit around with me.
