You know what really gets me about all this is the way that everyone at these 6PM door openings seem to be so big on getting their picture taken buying their first iPhone.  That says alot.  Good or bad...either way this thing is gonna be remembered.  In 50 years everyone figures they'll wanna have a picture of them buying the first one to show the kids.  Like when families in the 50's took pictures of themselves with their first TV's.

Is it fair to say that your daily activities consist of doing voluntary work for a lost cause, promoting your bad strcuture on wikipedia and trolling various boards, mainly this one?

Why do you feel you have to  bring the drug subject up?
You do drugs.  Drugs are a big factor in your life.  Here is your chance to do them freely.  I support your choice.  With Mike Gravel, you will be able to do your drugs.

Doubtful.  The television was more than just a sub-cultural novelty.    Especially given such the major improvment and transistion from radio communication.

This is just a phone that does nothing more than the other internet and MP3 phones do.

Actually don't and proud of it.

Why do you so clumsily dodge essential questions?

But I thought TA was on the initial team who invented the internet? Was I misinformed? Wasn't he also part of the team at Xerox that invented the mouse and windowed UI?

Overhyped and overrated.  My Blackberry Pearl is far superior to that, and I didn't even have to wait in line to buy it.  ::)

Verizon doesn't support the Pearl, but I'm stuck with them because it has the best signal in my area.

They have the Blackberry 8703. Anyone familiar with it?

The hillarious thing is, you people don`t even need this kind of technology.  Nothing you people do warrants the purchase of these things.
Yet, you buy it up because you think you can find some sort of practical use for impractical gadgetry.
Either that or you think it compliments your fake muscles or recreational drug habits in the same semblance and reasoning you purchased such a phone in the very first place.

Dude you need to realize most of us do not live in the sticks, sit home all day and night on the internet trying to impress people with fake claims and bullshit.  When you say we "don't need this kind of technology" you are talking about yourself.  you have no importance in the real world just the Apenis world.  So no you don't have any use for it.  But most of us do.  Sorry dude but we have real lives not pretend ones.

Personally....I couldnt care less about the phone.  But guess what Adam....these people WANT the phone.  I dont think any of them really said they NEED it.

Some questions:

Why did you need to own the Lotus or any other classic car?

Why did you need to own the antique guns you do?

Why do you need to crusade for the legalization of drugs?

Why do you need to prove to people that you can maintain the 3% bodyfat eating the way you do?

Why did you need to buy/own a greyhound?

I am sure there are a lot of things in your life that you did not NEED.  You chose to (like everyone) to get them.  You elected to purchase them.  Like the BluRay drive.  I am sure you could have waited a couple of months for the price to come down.  You instead chose to buy then because you thought you needed it, when in fact you just wanted it.  Right?

Scroll back where I congratulated MCFARLAND for finally saying that he did not need it, but wanted it or something along those lines.

This is the response I wanted to elicit.  Few people can ever separate their needs from their wants.  The ignorant blur these lines and this is why marketing is so effective.
