Ok, Sleep Number is bullshit, but a thin tempur covering is not the same as a whole mattress made of it.
Probably most people have regular spring mattresses.

IMO they're overrated gimmicks, but it's probably a matter of individual taste more than anything.

Are you speaking from first hand experience, or just your pompous opinion?

Thread is a waste of time. There are too many variations from one model to the next and in personal taste re: soft vs hard sleep. You have to physically visit a store with a good selection, and decide what you like by trying.
That's in addition to considering a foam layer to put on top of any mattress.

Are you speaking from first hand experience, or just your pompous opinion? I've slept on both (Tempurpedic and Sleep Number) I can afford any mattress I want. Yet, my mattresses are all regular Serta inner-spring types. What do you think?

I have a king size bed. Everyone must sleep on their own side. Or I need room for my snacks. That's why I thought that Tempurpedic would be cool, I could have my drinks for my snacks and they wouldn't fall over.
