With asian cars the handling is loose. Can't get over that compared to German cars. I'm not a fan of audi either. Totally different driving experience between the two.
Wheras that can be true, the IS300 was made to answer the E36 3 series. Because of that it was down on power, but big on handling. It came out in 1998 in Japan, 2001 in the US. By that time the bigger E46 came out. It had slightly more power (IS300 had 215, e46 had 225), but because it was bigger than the E36, it's handling suffered. The IS300 outhandles the E46 330i sedan
Plus, the new 335i coupe is having oil temperature problems (the oil for its twin turbos is heated almost goes near it's 320 degree threshold), and has made it "limp" home in more than one comparison to the G37 coupe. They are finally putting a oil cooler in the coupe.
As far as Audi, I guessing it is the front wheel drive that the base models have. BUt Auid has been making front wheel drive cars since it was part of Auto Union. But the Qauttro Cars tend to be heavy (the RS4 is 3900+ pounds)
I'm looking forwar to the caparison of the M3 coupe vs the CLK63 AMG vs.the Audi RS5, and the M3 sedan, versus the C63 sedan, versus the Lexus IS-F
