If Mexican is not a race but a nationality then what is the race of the people? and please don't say something stupid like latin (which is a language...not a race, place or people), don't say Hispanic...another false title...
There are a multitude a races: white (mostly meditterranean, and germanic), black, amerindian, mestizo (mized white and amerindian). Most of what you see in the U.S. are amerindians and mestizos with very few signs of european influence since they are the poorer, low-skilled groups of people.
In the U.S. the term Hispanic is a cultural term to link spanish speaking people or any race and latino is a term to link the people who speak latin derived languages mostly in the americas very rarely are they used to describe latin Europe nowadays. The original latins are the Roman people from modern day Italy.
