Where is the discussion for last nights fights (Spoiler)?
« on: July 08, 2007, 09:41:43 AM »
What happened to this board? use to be a good place to talk about the fights, get the vids etc. You guys should add Bluto as a mod, he will cover the fights cuz he's a real fan. Looks like I need to dust off my Sherdog account now and go deal with all those fkn losers who post there :-\

First off, Bluto doesn't know jack shit and secondly, he'll never get mod on here. If anything, Americanbulldog should get moderator.

Last nights fights weren't anything special. I thought the Sherk fight was kind of boring.

I didn't watch them, but I figured people would at least be discussing them here. This board used to be a lot better.

Regardless, Bluto will never get moderator here. I'm still laughing from the beatdown Chuteboxe gave him. It was a decent card. I had Marquardt winning but he got wrecked.  >:(

Well, we need a mod who actually wants to discuss the fights. I don't care who it is. This is laughable actually that there is not one thread about the fights last night. Does this American Bulldog guy post about the fights?

AmericanBulldog is a guy that actually trains with some of the best fighters in the world. He discusses the fights. Just seems that no one's around today. Bluto doesn't show up for 4-5 days after a fight anyway, so him being mod isn't going to change that.

He said himself that he doesn't log on Getbig or any forum on fight weeks because he doesn't want to see spoilers.

I didnt watch them.. I read the results at UFC.com this morning. None of the fights sounded all that great so I haven't even bothered looking for them... I wish the Tito fight would have been more interesting it sounded pretty boring.

I watched the ppv. sherk fight was ok if you like grappling and one guy covering up the whole time, which is what franca did, sherk is an animal, non-stop the whole fight, and the hell with gay-flo, bragging he stops fights, didn't fight the same caliber as sherk, tito-rashad was boring, rashad ran the first two rounds, and tito did nothing to catch him, tito got cut by a thumb, tito had a point deducted for grabbing the cage, which i know is illegal and tito agreed with it, but why can chuck grab the cage every time someone grabs him and that is not illegal, just curious, plus rashad talking junk that he won, stood there and juked his hands the whole fight like a lame a$$ street fighter, the best was when he threw a combo of like 5 punches, but was about 5 feet away from tito,  silva -marquardt went as expected, that silva is an animal, pretty sure franklin was at home shi##ing his pants having to fight silva, yeah and nogs-herring good, but herring had nogs hurt and let him up at end of 1st round and did nothing at begining of second round, probable cost him the fight

I was in the process of moving this weekend, so I did not get to see them live.  I taped them and have only had the chance to watch the the Tito/Rashad & Sherk/Franca fights.

Sherk is a freaking animal.  He kept up an unbeliaveble pace for 5 solid rounds.  I thought Franca would be able to put up a better fight.  He managed to open three of the rounds with a devastating knee to Sherks face.  Everytime Sherk was able to recover and take it to the ground.  The guy can definitely take a hit.

Tito/Rashad was a HUGE disappointment.  I was hoping to see Rashad get demolished.  Had it not been for the takedown in the last 10 secs of the fight, I think Tito might have gotten the decision.  Either way it's a poor showing for Tito.  He doesn't seem to have the same power and explosiveness that he showed when he destroyed guys like Tanner & Wanderlei...

The Tito/Rashad fight went exactly as I thought it would.  Rashad was too cautious and Tito was Tito.  They will fight again. Trust me.

They have already talked rematch, both the fighters in the ring and at the press conference, should be like the shamrock fight, was so bad should put it on regular tv.

I saw the post fight press conference on the UFC website.  Rashad actually thought he won the fight and kep accusing Tito of holding on to the cage the whole time.  Tito accused Rashad of having vaseline all over his arms...lol.  I'm surprised that Rashad is talking more trash than Tito and Tito seems to be backing down...

I think Tito is under the illusion that he somehow earned another shot at a huge pay day.  I think not.

He was the highest guy paid on that card...by a lot!  But I agree.  That performance sucked.  The guy needs to find his way back to the G&P beast he used to be...

Couldn't agree more, he is trying to be a striker and lunges for his takedowns, needs to get back to what made tito, tito and stop this other bu!!sh!t
