I can personally attest to his strength. I competed against him in the early 90's. Fucking dude was 6'5", 330lbs with visable abs. Just an absolute beast. Most experts put him as one of the strongest strongmen to never win the worlds strongest man contest.

Kaz himself would always remark that Kiri was the closest thing to him at that time. I would put Kaz's pressing and pulling power above Kiri's though. Plus Kaz had such an intense attitude and desire that Kiri never had.

Several years back on WSM, Kaz said if he was to comeback, Riku would be the one he would be worried about.

Something like that, yes. We had a set of two cable lat pull down bench in Gold's Gym Helsinki, one with a 300lb stack, one with a 500lb stack, both made by Kraftwerk. He used just that heavy one, because 300lb was too light. Even that 500lb wasn't enough for him, so he load a pair of 45lb plates on it. In fact, he needed a pair of spotters to help him sit in the machine, because he was too light to just sit down. After we got him sitting, and he start to pull, first two inches came from arching the wide grip pulling handle, and only after that stack start to move. It was impossible to find a pulling handle which was strong enough to him to use. He bend several of those while training there. Same with barbells, there was few bars made from black iron, which were permanently bend after he got his squats done.

Does he still train?  Is he still as strong and big?
