Since last year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, when Sony announced that the PlayStation 3 would cost $599, gamers have been asking one question: When is Sony going to cut the price?

The answer: just before this year's E3, which is going on now in Santa Monica, Calif. The current model PS3, which has a 60-gigabyte hard drive, now costs $100 less. Just in case you have six Benjamins burning a hole in your pocket, Sony will be offering an updated version of the console, including an 80-GB drive and a copy of ''MotorStorm,'' with the old $599 price tag.

I can find no reason to buy that system. I wouldn't have purchased a 360 either if not for Xbox Live.

Is that a joke? Very mixed reports about the Wii. I want one for Mario and Metroid, but i hate the thought of using those stupid batons [even if they are "good for cardio" ]

Seriously don't talk shit until you've owned one. You'll be amazed. After 5 minutes you'll feel like you've been using it for years. Some games do fit a traditional controller better but for the wii specific games it's fucking awesome.

Add to the virtual arcade of old SNES/Nes/Turbo Graphix ex ex ex games and you can't go wrong. Don't give me the "rom's are free though" bullshit cause it's not as fun as playing on a TV like you're supposed to.

They're $400 in England - that's nearly a whole week of working the nightshift at Mcdonalds.

The PS3 needs games, how the hell did they expect to be the number 1 console with so few games available. I'd like to see what happens when the market has more than a few games designed specifically to take advantage of the PS3.

With todays emphasis on bigger, better, quicker this will never happen. The xbox for example didn't reach near it's potential and they released the 360 to "wow" us sheep.
The developers need about 5 years to really come up with the best way to write the code for these games. In todays game market you can't wait that long.

I played the bowling game, it was pretty cool. Do you know if the new Madden coming out fro the Wii has an option to play it "regular"? I know there is going to be an option of the computer controlling the players and you can use the baton to stiff arm etc. Also, can you play it online?

as do I. However the battery that keeps saved game data starts to fail and you lose all your progress. Bluto your cheapness is breath taking!

I'm not playing any of them right now actually but my kids and wife love the system. I stick to guitar hero and gears of war
