Fox Home Entertainment has announced a special edition of Jingle All The Way which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. The "Family Fun Edition" will be available to own from the 16th October, and should retail at around $19.98. This is fantastic news since "Jingle" has been one of the remaining bare bones DVDs of Arnold's movies. The first release was a pretty crappy non-anamorphic version (not optimized for widescreen TVs), then they released an almost identical version in a red case that was anamorphic, but the only extras remained a trailer and text production notes (this was in 2004 after the silly lawsuit got settled). Now we finally get some featurettes: “Turbo Man: Behind the Mask”, “The Making of a Hero” , and “Super Kids” which will hopefully have some funny behind-the-scenes stuff with Arnold and Sinbad. Plus, this version is an extended cut, supervised by director Brian Levant, with 5 minutes of extra footage! This probably includes scenes that have been shown before in the televised version. The movie is still presented in 1.85 anamorphic widescreen with English, French, and Spanish Dolby Surround tracks.
