"greater muscularity" is a vague, debatable term. That there are people with lager muscles gained without drugs is beyond debate.

SF is that a typo? 400+lb weighted dips ???

That would be seriously impressive

No typo.

He holds a "world record" for doing one rep weighing 198 + 435 lbs. And reps with 400 (or just below 400, don't remember).

Here is one of him weighing 185 doing dips with 2 people hanging off of him:

that's what a number of people who saw him train said he could do, i think John Grimek himself backed the claim up.

Read up Marvin Eder. He's not a fraud or anything, but widely held as pound for pound one of the strongest guys ever.

He trained with reg Park at one point, I believe. Doing squats with 550 and 400 lb BB rows.

He was a serious beast. One of the strongest men who EVER lived.

His pull-ups were insane too.

He once won a muscle beach contest doing 10 reps on dips with his bodyweight + 4 children....!!

He couldn't afford weights as a kid so he did dips and chins (weighted) all day long at the playground.

He did a 220 lb dip (one rep) at age 16 I think.

Pat Casey, who benched 600, looked up to Marvin and his dipping abilities and "copied" them - and pushed almost as heavy weights on dips.

There's also an article from 51 I think - he peaked in 53 I believe - that describes Marvin doing 8 sets of 10 reps with 220 lbs tied to his waist. Normal training.

His stats are so widely documented and backed up I see no reason to doubt them.

yeah Pat was known to do dips swith 300 punds plus his bwt. of around 310, also inclined a pair of 215's for 5, the first legitimate 600 pound bencher.

hahahaha, what a freak of nature, try to get most "pros" these days to do even one set of dips with just bodyweight.

PAt Casey was a f--- beast.

I think it's pretty cool he looked up to Marvin and basically "copied" his insanely heavy dips.

Marvin Eder and Doug Hepburn once had a muscle beach contest where Hepburn got his ass handed to him when Marvin did like 8 one-arm chin-ups. lol

It's sad more pros don't do heavy dips.

No one has even come CLOSE to dipping what Eder and Casey did.
