I did actually...............A nthony had a "gruff exterior" but once he got to know you he would give you the shirt off his back,we used to meet up every year at the 'NEW ENGLAND BODYBUILDING CHAMPIONSHIPS" in boston mass

great bodybuilder and an even better powerlifter

If it's true, then he was one insecure guy.

Every guy has 1 or 2 of those guys who walk around puffed out like theyre royalty because theyre carrying 50 too many pounds and can move 4 extra plates thanks to their $200 lifting shirt.

I never knew the guy.  But ANY guy who ignores people who aren't as big as him is a

Anthony was no saint (far from it)............what he was was a nice guy totally into bodybuilding (lifestyle 24-7)
he helped out a lot of up and comming guys/personal trained people,and like a lot of us had a healthy ego

mike didnt know anythony what so ever, and anthony didnt like nut huggers, he had TONS of fans and never said shit to someone just because they were not huge. Most of the bb'ers he trained were middleweights/light heavy and women, and myself included in the heavyweights...im no were near 300. Nobody at the show was besides him and palumbo. Unless mike meant himself which we all now what that looks like. I KNEW anthony, a close friend of years. Mikes idea of knowing him was trying to say hi at a show. I will paint the picture, your anthony...mike comes upto you to basically kiss your ass...you kinda brush it off...now your not a saint and dont talk to people because of it...yada yada yada.

And whos glorifying anything, read some of posts when he died, i was pissed at him for being selfish. Im just trying to let people know how he saw it. Oh and another thing, his Dr's were the ones keeping him on HRT (400mg) because without it he would have died alot sooner. There is alot more to it then what some fucks think on a message board. Yes diurectics were stupid...but ask palumbo on that one..hes the one that kept feeding them to him. Hence why he didnt goto the funreal, guilt much...some friend. As for living life, he didnt want to die, or course not. He wanted to start a new life outside of this, but he had once itch left to scratch. His dr's were the ones saying he was getting better. HE took it for granted I guess. All a moot point now anyway.

And for record..i was with anthony and dameri at every single new englands since 1997 and never once say arvilla come near us. I even competed in two of the shows that anthony helped me with. Half the time he had 4-5 people in the show he got ready, not exactly looknig to chat it up on those days.

this goes back to early 1990's ...............myself julian and chris hadley were always talking to anthony
i have no clue who toolarge is nor do i care (i have no reason to "nuthug" on anybody),10 years or more of seeing talking and getting something to eat (in between pre-judging and the night show)
this was way before dave and anthony were "hanging" around together,the only person with anthony was this kid (forget his name) that was competing,they hung out for a few years (the year anthony competed at the new englands to requalify ...and anthony wasn't in that great of shape and apologized to the crowd)
im not going to "defend" my friendship with anthony ( i knew him casually ,well enough to talk to and grab something to eat together that's it)

hes gone..............im not going to fight over who knew him better( how stupid)

guys i was hard on mike because anthony had passed...Im sure he talked with ant from time to time. I could have been in the bathroom or backstage at the shows. Mike didnt mean any harm. Ant was a tough individual to crack.
