hell yeah it's a lot, when Arod first got his contract it was for 250 million over 10 years, can you imagine that? a quarter of a fuccking billion dollars to play baseball, crazy thing is that they're saying when his contract is up that he's going to be demanding at least 30 million a year.

dude thats insane...a quarter of a billion over 10 years and then a pay raise of 30 fuckin million bucks...to hit ball with stick...its like bizarro world..and that little english guy beckam gets 250 mil for 5 years to play with the LA soccer team...what the fuck...this dude kicks a ball for a living and makes a quarter of a billion bucks...im angry now...im gonna lift or something.

Yep, what a world. Yet our police force, firefighters, armed forces are severly underpaid. People who risk tehir lives and do something worthwhile, get shit. People who play kids games (baseball, bball, etc.) or old farts hobbies (golf), are filthy rich.

Yeah a freaking joke...IMO upper level people in the ARMED Forces need to be payed that kinda money. What a mockery our country is sometimes.

I do hope that Ken Griffey plays another 10 years and smashes Bonds record.

What you fail to realize is that it's not the government paying the athlete's salaries. It's the owners of the teams doing that, and when you're bringing in hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue a year for said team, you're usually paid well enough to represent that.
