I used to be friends with this guy that lives a few miles away from me. He's 31, never had a job, lives in his dads mansion(his mom is dead) and has always been a pillhead. Used to be a fun guy to hang around with, never had to work, one of the best pools I have ever seen, and was a cool guy, not a ladies man by any stretch of the imagination, but I used to go to the bars with him etc. So over the last 2 years he started getting into crack, started small, but obviously the problem grew. A few months ago he met an escort/stripper who was as big as a crackhead as him, I had no clue cuz I wrote him off a long time ago, but I got filled in recently. So, she being the loser she is moves in with him and they run out of money and start selling all of his fathers electronics, jewelry etc. to support the habit. I also found out that he has borrowed thousands from friends and "fronts" and people are after him. So, a few weeks ago his dad throws her out of the house, but seeing as this is one of the first pieces of pussy he has ever had, he leaves with her. They wind up staying at a crackhouse(not like in the movies, it was a decent house). He actually called me last Saturday night for the first time in over a year and asked me to pick him up from this place and take him for a drink. So I go over there, but got stuck there for a while because he lent his car to crack dealers for a rock. Now, I know nothing of this sort of life, but other than the people there being totally worthless and asking me for money I had no problems really, the guy that owned the house was cool enough, I suppose. We go for a drink eventually and after about a half hour he was getting anxious or whatever and needed to get dropped off back there. I just figured fuck him, he was too far gone and I don't really give a fuck. A few days later he supposedly stole 70 klonopins from the guy that owned the house(who just got out of jail after 30 years) and was "in hiding" because the guy wanted to kill him. So he couldn't go home because the girl who took the homeowners side knows where his dad lived. His dad winds up calling me and I agree to go to the guys house and I paid him 140 bucks for the missing Klonopin so he wouldn't be in danger. So his dad gets him home and wants to get him help, so he calls the Methadone clinic, but they cant see him till Monday, so his old man actually bought him like 15 vikes so he would withdrawl too bad. Anyway, so after he lent his car out for crack his dad obviously won't let him use it now and he calls me today and sounds like he is doing better. He asks if I will take him for a drink, and I said no problem. I did call his dad though and he asked me to do three things, not let him use my cell to call that filthy whore, make sure I take him home and of course not let him buy any crack or coke(even though he had no money or CC's). So, we go out and it was fine for a while, but she kept texting me to come pick her up(she doesn't have a car either
) and he wanted to call her. I actually let him call her cuz I didn't see the harm, but I heard him say he was going to get a cab to come see her or some bullshit. I told him I was taking him home at 2 and he was kind of a dick about it. His dad actually called me at about 11 to see how he was doing and I walked outside to talk to him and when I came back he was on some dudes cell phone asking someone to bring him up a "50 bag" and he would pay him back on Monday. At that point I knew I wasn't capable of babysitting the dude and I promised his father, who I respect that I wouldn't let anything happen to him. So I told him I was taking him home and he told me he wasn't living by anyones rules and he was going to get high and meeting whats her name, fuck his dad etc. So I did what I thought was right, called his dad and he was up there in 10 minutes and made him go home with him. He actually cried and said something like "I don't know what Leann is doing out there,she could be with another guy, please dad don't make me go home", he almost sounded like a retard. He called me from his house phone while I was typing this and is crying and telling me he has a problem(no shit
), and even though I know I did the right thing, I am not one to snitch on someone. It's not like I even like the dude, he is 31 years old and too brain dead to attempt to live on his own. I just feel bad for snitching him out, if you actually read this Kiwi-esque post, was I wrong? What would you do?
