upright rows has little risk compaired to some of the other movements like the bench or deads. 
In your opinion; anything that involves the shoulder joint heavily is potentially problematic.

I've started doing them again a few months ago. I keep the reps around 10-15, don't go above my nipples and usually keep a wider grip. Shoulders have been feeling pretty good.

have tried them a few times. never liked them.

hits both traps and delts and i like more to focus on one part.
