MMA events to look out for in the near future.

 WEC 29 airs on the Versus Network, headlined by undefeated Pride veteran Paulo Filho taking on veteran Joe Doerkson. Carlos Condit vs. Brock Larson will be featured on the undercard.

August 25th brings you UFC 74: Respect where Randy Couture will make his first defense of his UFC Heavyweight Championship against Gabriel Gonzaga. Georges St. Pierre makes his return after his shocking loss to Matt Serra, he faces Josh Koscheck. The undercard includes Kendall Grove vs. Patrick Cote, Marcus Aurelio vs. Clay Guida, Joe Stevenson vs. Kurt Pellegrino, Renato Sobral vs. David Heath and the returns of Travis Lutter and Frank Mir.

September looks to be a big month for the MMA with several different events taking place.

 Jens Pulver headlines WEC 30 on September 5th. Pulver makes his return to the 145lb division, taking on Cub Swanson. WEC 155lb champion ‘Razor’ Rob McCullough returns on the undercard. WEC 145lb champ Urijah Faber is also rumored to compete.

 September 8th is UFC 75, in England, where Dan Henderson and Quinton Jackson will unify the Pride and UFC 205lb championships in what is easily the most important fight in the sport. Mirko Filipovic returns on the undercard to take on Cheick Kongo. The card also features Michael Bisping versus Matt Hamill.

September 15th is when Gary Shaw owned Elite XC makes its return. No matches have been announced or rumored. But the card is rumored to feature Nick Diaz, Jake Shields, Gina Carano and Charles Bennett.

 September 19th brings another installment of Ultimate Fight Night. Spencer Fisher and Din Thomas headline to battle for lightweight supremacy. Mike Swick makes his 170lb debut against Jonathon Goulet, Chris Leben returns to take on Terry Martin and Nate Diaz has his first post TUF 5 fight.

The September 22nd UFC 76 card featuring Liddell/Jardine. The undercard also features Forrest Griffin being given the tough assignment of fighting Mauricio Rua in the UFC debut of ‘Shogun’, Diego Sanchez taking on Jon Fitch and the Octagon return of Evan Tanner.

I'm surprised Dana's even letting Lutter back onto a UFC card and Henderson v Rampage is gonna be like Hagler Hearns.

Yeah, this is going to be a good few months for sure. The fight I am really looking forward to is the Forrest vs Shogun fight. I really hope that Forrest pulls the upset and gets himself a HUGE win.
 
GSP is going to get back on track and look very impressive.....

Cro Cop is also going to prove that he is a top heavyweight.....

Lidell/Jardine will be a slugfest with someone getting KO'ed.....

The IFL is holding its semi-finals in the Meadowlands Arena in New Jersey. It'll be interesting to see how many of those 15,000 seats will be sold.
