I cannot believe the idiocy of suckmymuscle.  What a complete fool.

Now he'll write a nine page rebuttal of my post.

Shut up, noob. I am right and he is wrong. Just because two idiots agree on something doesen't make them right - the idiots being you and "The Luke".

Ok, dude. Whatever you say. Just to make you shut up, I'll let you think that you're right. Unfortunately for you, there are several bodybuilders who weight far less than 600 lbs and who have bigger arms than 20".

SUCKMYMUSCLE

...no human being in modern history has ever had a measured; verified muscular (10% bf) arm of 23'' (not while being under 7'6'' tall). That was my point... the comparison with gorillas was merely for demonstartion purposes for people like you suckmymuscle who don't understand basic mathematics. Remember, I only used that comparison to stifle the patently ridiculous speculations that Greg Kovacs might have had a 28'' arm.

We need Tim Fogarty to chime in here...

You are wrong. Coleman did have 23" arms at a 287 lbs, so your point is mute. Several bodybuilders have bigger arms than gorillas and yet weight less because the gorillas have much bigger torsos. Give up, dude. You got owned. ;)

The luke, you are trying to tell me no bodybuilder has ever had an arm bigger than 20 inches?  You said dorian's arms were 20 inches at his largest bodyweight, well thats a weak argument considering the arms in question.  If you dont think kevin levrone's arms were over 20 inches, you may be clinically retarded...As for the gorilla argument dude, gorillas dont take shit tons of gear and work out and eat all the time, so again that is a pretty weak argument...

if dorian's arms were 20 inches at their largest, then I would not be surprised if Ronnie's arms in 2003 were 23 inches legit.

his arms in 2003 make dorian's look fairly small at any point in his career.

Dorian's arms at their biggest were around 21" and Ronnie did have legitimate muscular 23" arms in 2003. I think that both you and I can agree that "The Luke" is a moron for stating that a man cannot have arms over 22" unless he's at least 350 lbs. ::)

Dudes...

Tim Fogarty measured Lee Priest's off-season (235 lbs) arm as being 21 and 5/8ths inches (if memory serves) so I doubt anyone has ever had a muscular arm much OVER 22''

Putting words in my mouth and shouting down claims I never made is pointless...

If anyone out there can find me a legitimate photo of a flexed arm taped properly at 23'' (10% bf under 6' tall) then I will rethink my position... till then all you guys are doing is regurgitating Flex Magazine hype.

Remember, a 23'' arm is a full 33% larger than a 20'' arm... that's the same as the difference between the 20'' arm and a 17.4'' arm. I seriously doubt Ronnie's arm is 33% larger than Dorian's.

The Luke

PS-before anyone tries posting a pic bear in mind that a taped 23'' arm should be at least 11'' tall! That means 11 visible inches of tape.

The fact that Lee Priest had arms of 21" at 235 should beenough to prove to you that you dont need to be 350 lbs to have 23" arms. Priests ares are big but by no means the biggest in bodybuilding. Why? Because Priest is short, so his arms look much bigger than those of other pros because they are so big for him. If you think that Ronnies arms are not bigger in absolute terms, then you are delusional. Just admit it, guy: you are wrong. >:(

Answer me this true believers...

Why has no one ever had their arm photographed with a tape measure showing their flexed arm taping out at 23 inches???

Excluding faked pics with the tape pegged on the other side of the arm...

The Luke

whos's highjacking a thread?

someone pointed out that dorian's arms were 20 inches at their best and that ronnie's were never 23 inches.

I correctly pointed out that IF dorian's arms WERE 20 inches that ronnie's were most certainly 23 inches in 2003. Perfectly valid point.

its not my fault that IceCold is so stupid he doesn't believe that ronnie's arms in 2003 were bigger than dorian's and felt compelled to post that I was 'wrong as usual' ::)

talk to IceCold. He is the moron.

A 23'' arm is 33% larger than a 20'' arm (it's a ratio of the squares of the circumferences)...

Ronnie is probably the biggest and most muscular bodybuilder ever, but his arms aren't 33% larger than Dorian's were at his best. Dorian was 270 lbs at his biggest... Ronnie is 300 lbs at his biggest... that means Ronnie is about 30 to 40 lbs short of a 23'' arm at 10% bf.

A 23'' arm would be at least 11'' tall in a flexed position... that's probably noticeably taller than Ronnie's head and comparable to the length of Ronnie's humerus bone: that would be a circular upper arm!

Someone needs to call "Bullshit!" on all these arm claims... I stopped believing what I read in the magazines when I was 15 and FLEX quoted a 225 lb Flex Wheeler claiming that his 23.5'' arms (contest shape) were not that unusual among the current crop of competitors.

If any pro had a 23'' arm they would have it taped and photographed every chance they got...

A 23'' upper arm REQUIRES about 350 lbs of lean bodyweight (at 5'10'' tall).

.
Luke, you said such a lot about 33 percent...
sure it sounds like something clever...
but i think, you have to take some mathematik lessons and to learn that 23 INCH ARM IT  15 PERCENT BIGGER THAN 20 INCH,AND NOT FOR 33% !
