The WBBG is Dan Lurie's organization.  He ran pro and amateur contest under that name from 1967 to 1980 or so.

Now with Dan's permission, Doug Goings is promoting a contest using that name.  That's about it.

I'll believe it when I see it that they can pull this show off.  With Michalik involved, I'm not optimistic.  So does "North American" mean Canadians & Mexicans can compete, like in the IFBB North American coming up over Labor Day?  Nothing on their website makes it clear.

Michalik is not involved with the contest.   Back in the day, Dan Lurie was famous for his banquets where he honored legends of bodybuilding.  They're trying to do the same now.  Michalik and others on that list are receiving awards at the banquet.

Anyone can enter the contest.  Some Canadians have registered.  But the problem with both the contest and the banquet is location.  People will not be flying in from around the country to see a contest in Portland Maine.    Lurie is from New York City, and that's where all the banquets in the 1970s were held.  They would have had better luck holding it there now.
