Why do some fatties invest so much time to BB?

I know this has been asked so many times, and yes to a point this is very insulting (to certain people with high bf%) but can someone please explain to me why the 'fitness industry' has so many out of shape people in postions of 'power'.
Not to name names but I can tell you of a top writer in the top magazine, the top 'special' fan boy aka interviewer of BBs, and some other overweight 'guy' who runs a top website as examples of hypocrisies ....
There is a difference between being fat, getting into the whole fitness thing to get in shape, but with the above...I think they don't care about their outward appearance as much as everyone's else's? Thats like being president of the Lamborghini Club and driving home in a Ford Escort...

i never understood this either, how you one can be such a fan of bbing and yet not even workout themselves. i think most of them are just schmoes plain and simple

much like when you're in the gym and there are FAT personal trainers? are you they are supposed to be selling people on the fact that they know what they're talking about.

I think it's even more strange why a guy like Gaejonna who states he'd never attend a bodybuilding expo or contest would spend an entire day looking at men's physiques on getbig while claiming that going to a bodybuilding show is gay.

Does Bob Costas need to be able to hit a 94mph fastball to talk about baseball or to interview Barry Bonds?
Does Dick Vitale need to hit a 3-point shot to talk basketball or interview LeBron James?
Does Simon Cowell need to hit a high 'C' to critique or interview Jae Aiken?

I look forward to the rest of the squad's toughest members chiming in...

 People who have ziltch to do with anything fitness or bodybuilding on their own personal level but make their living or are heavily involved in the bodybuilding community are 9 out of 10 x's SCHMOES or closet QUEENS. This is their way of getting close to the bodies they have fetishes' for.

True. I confess. I'm a closet QUEEN. I began putting up posters of Arnold when I was 13 and my arms were barely 10 inches. I had no right doing this until I could bench 225.

I reflect to when Arnie compared "the pump" to cumming. I am an addict for the pump. I absolutly love it. I imagine that some of these dudes on here are the same way. Especialy the juicers who are loaded to the gills and break new pleateaus every week. Some dont have time for the diet, or have a family and no single ladies to impress. Bodybuilding is a lifestyle and a hobby more than a sport. I dont knock anybody who does it. ( except for Derek Anthony)

Basketball and football are fun to watch even if you don't play. Bodybuilding seems like it would be really boring to watch and keep up with if you weren't into it yourself.

You don't have to be a bodybuilder to be a fan of bodybuilding.

We usually lift afternoons (tomorrow is weird)...I bet we'll be lifting Sat afternoon.
