Is there a website where companies who are producing in non-democratic countries are listed?

It would be helpful.

I know there are websites where Israelian products and companies, and companies that did business with Israel, are listed.

As empty as paradise

Hedge, good post, I'm researching and hopefully will come up with alternatives, I doubt it, but will see if there's anything out there.

Not entirely accurate. Just last week, I was reading how the company that bought the ez bake oven redesigned it to replace the classic lightbulb with a heating element. A bunch of girls have burned themselves and one even lost a finger! So, even though it was technically made in China, the problem originated here. There are a lot of stories like that. Most toys are made in China, so if a design flaw causes a recall, it's not really an indictment on China's manufacturing practices.

I agree, our companies have a huge role in this...

Well, think about it. How many times were poisonous food outbreaks last year:
Carrot juice, spinach, lettuce, peanut butter.  Food is one of the few things America still manufactures and we have a recall every week.

The guy who tainted the cough syrup in China was put to death. I doubt that would have happened here.

She's okay. She's just a regular urban, upwardly-mobile, mid to late 30s working mom.
