I know nothing about grilling, but my buddy grills all the time. Anyway, he just bought a slow cooker thing that cooks meat in like 14 hours or something. He made some pork the other day and it was the greatest fkn thing I ever tasted, tasted like the pork at a pig roast, but even better. Little off topic, but if you can get a grill and a slow cooker, I recommend it.

Great idea for quick cookin man. Just grab some steaks (beef/pork etc) or some fish

Then tenderise it (hit it with that wooden spikey hammer) and rub some some fresh herbs spices into it, splash on some tabasco/hot pepper sauce and grill away!

The fat from the meat cooks it so no need to add oil etc.

Also look out for jerk sauces/marinades and splash on whatever the f**k you feel like!

You can add big mushrooms/other veg at the same time so when its all done all you need to cook is the brown rice (oh brother just eat some f***n oinoin rings ffs!!!!)

Is there any advantage to getting charcoal over gas? I don't want some giant silver monstrosity.

Charcoal baby. That's where the taste its at! Trouble is it takes forever. And not all charcoal tastes the same smoke wise. I like danielson's idea of getting a smoker/cooker but, unless you've got the weekend to cook your meet, it's a pain in the ass. I'd only suggest gas if you need it convenience wise. I love my Weber grill! It's done me right for years!
