Amazing stamina strength

Saw a guy at the gym today weighing about 200lbs put 225 on the bar, i know its not a lot but he benched it for 30 reps!!
Dunno about you guys but thats pretty impressive imo. Wonder what his max is, 400 or so?

30 reps with 225? Id' give him low end 300's for a max. When he can get 315 for 20 or so reps, he'll be close to 400. I was hitting 315 for 20-25 reps on speed and high rep days and still couldn't touch 400 but, everyone is different.

sorry speed reps. You bench as fast as you can.  I used to do a training split where one day I'd do low reps super heavy and then another day I'd do higher reps but never going over a certain weight with it. I train that way on my squats now but benching like that, was back when I was working out 6 days a week hitting each body part twice a week.

i dont think i could do that pausing each rep tho i can hit 350 paused.

id say at least 35o

You are saying you can do 315 25 times?

Yeah a pause kills it. If I pause at the bottom or top of any of my benching sets it dramatically reduces the amount of reps I can do. I'd assume that's the same for everyone else.

i do it so the chest gets hit more. and yes it takes a way a few reps. on a 5rep max id say just touch go i could stretch to maybe 8

DAMN! good lift bro! Yeah I rep out my 315 sets to get them out of the way quick. When I pause like that, I can usually only get 10-12 reps on the bottom. It's brutal. Touch and go (I don't lock out) and it does give you a handful more because you don't gas out before you hit a few reps. Problem is you could get hurt. Great pressing. You did that like CAKE! And you're all natural? I think if you wanted it, 8-10 reps would come easily to you like that if you skipped one warm up set on the way up or did less reps in your warm up sets on the way up.
