Ask yourself...
« on: August 08, 2007, 01:47:44 PM »
Am I soooooooooo busy that I canot make time for God?

Testify, of a time when I did not make time for God.

For me its been this past 2 months, I just got a good contract with a company and moved to a new place but with the blessing that God has granted me I am barely making time to Go to church and even pray, I've begun praying with my son before I put him to bed but I don't think its enough.

Please pray for me that I find my way back to a Church and get more into praying more often.
I am a grown ass man

I think your relying too much on your faith for your success as a professional and as a person in general. I think you need to focus on your career and family and if you beleive god is understanding then you shouldnt feel so guilty about not spending enough time in church. To me that is only part of being involved with god.  As long as you live a good life and give thanks what else should there be.

But, this is coming from someone who doesnt have faith so do what you think is right.

Congratulations on your desire to spend more time in prayer and in reading God's word.  I think that's great that you pray with your son before you put him to bed.  When I was a little boy, my parents used to get my brothers and I together and read the Bible to us and pray with us.  They did this for years and it did wonders to my brothers and I.  We all grew up to be good people with good jobs, good family and good friends, good lives in general.  We also grew up with more knowledge of the Bible than I see church kids have today.  Keep trying to make time for God.  Make God numero uno in your life and you will see a huge improvement in all aspects of your life.

Dear Lord, Flying Spaghetti Monster,

I humbly submit to You, Your servant bigandbrolic. Please bless him with Your pasta-suffused grace and goodness. Let Your spaghetti sauce cover him and protect him as he makes his way back to Your complex-carbohydrate truth. And please watch over him with Your noodly appendage. RAMEN.
