Yes, I do. I use FFi-MPG-caps <--click me...and I encourage as many people as possible to use them as well.

They are environmentally friendly and allow us to:
- reduce the toxic emissions from our vehicles by 75% or more
- reduce our fuel consumption
- travel farther on less fuel, which helps us to save money on gasoline & diesel
- reduce our dependency on fossil fuels
- reduce the smog causing pollution we put into the air.
I also use Eco-Sheen waterless carwash.
This product can clean, seal, protect & polish your vehicle in one easy step. Simply spray, wipe, and buff to a shine. It will also preserve the earths most precious commodity which is water. It normally takes an average of 135 gallons of water to wash a car. By using Eco-Sheen, I can save 135 gallons of water from going down the drain.
The amount of fresh water available for human use is less than 0.08% of all the water on the planet. About 70% of the fresh water is already used for agriculture, and the reports say that the demands of industry and energy will grow rapidly. The World Water Council report estimates that in the next two decades the use of water by humans will increase by about 40%, and that 17% more water than is available, will be needed to grow the world's food supply. The commission concludes "only rapid and imaginative institutional and technological innovation can avoid the crisis". -- Excerpted from the BBC News-March,2000.Eco-Sheen also leaves an incredible polished finished on vehicles that truly has to be seen to be believed. It also works inside the house as well, and can replace most cleansers in use today. It will do kitchens, appliances, microwaves, counter-tops, etc., any glossy, non-porous surface. I find it much easier to use than Windex, and it produces a better finish too. In addition, now, I find my bathroom mirrors don't fog up now
I check the weather forecasts for rain prior to turning on the garden sprinkler, and I use compact flourescents as well as solar powered lighting units where possible..
I use insulating blankets for my hot water heater, and pipes. I use low flow aerator shower heads
When washing my hair, I will turn off the water while lathering up. I try to do the same when washing my face or brushing my teeth. I try to turn off and unplug appliances when not in use, and will use phosphate free detergent.
I recycle paper & plastics, as well as aluminum, and biological waste (eggshells, vegetable cuttings etc). In addition to the
blue bin for glass & aluminum cans, and the
grey bin for paper, my neighbourhood has also implemented a
green bin as well which recycles bio wastes (things that would normally go into a compost bin).
Now that the warm weather is here, I will walk or use public transit where feasible.
When I make purchases, I try to purchase items that come with the least amount of unnecessary packaging, and I also try to re-use the packaging on the items I purchase whenever possible.
If I have a clogged drain, instead of using toxic chemicals, I will instead use a little vinegar & rock salt.
It will accomplish the same thing without the toxic chemicals going into the water supply.
I can't remember off the top of my head, ...but when I first saw the figures on how many tonnes of carbon monoxide can be reduced from going into the air by making simple, tiny, tiny, little adjustments, I was both astounded and inspired to do as much as I could to reduce the pollutants I put into the air. It's amazing how much of a difference we can make with just tiny little adjustments, that we don't even notice, ...yet it has a huge impact on our environment. When I find the numbers, I will post them here.
