the ones who truly appreciate good whiskey dont mix it with shit like apple pucker or sour mix, its as good as pouring a good whiskey down the drain as you cant taste the whiskey but only the sour apple mix. they drink it neat, maybe on the rocks, no mixer, only water or soda.

there is a distinct taste between different distillers of whiskey. comes from the different period in aging the whiskey, the water of the region, and the qualities of the grain used to even the methods the barrels of whiskey are rotated

I still stand tall and claim my drink to be pretty cool and manly. The  pucker sourness removes the overflow of oak flavor from the cheap brands and sour mix contributes to the esterified/sugar buzz.

I don't mix whisky with anything other then some cold water when it feels too stiff. I had a manhattan once and it tasted like cough syrup.. Absolute crap that makes me weary of mixing of stuff with whisky.

The whisky buzz is better then the generic buzz of stuff like vodka or rum. Relaxing...
