1 set per exercise, 5 exercises total.

Seems to be the norm for these guys:

some guys swear by it.  Bulkbuilding.  Super slow.  5 reps.  10 seconds positive, 5 second negative.

Do 12 or 15 sets.  It looks good on paper, but doesn't translate to success for most.

90 minutes spent in the gym and doing a total of 5 work sets is not abnormal to you Bluton?

I don't see how it's possible to train that slow, and I also don't see a benefit.

I don't see how it's possible to train that slow, and I also don't see a benefit.

something about fast vs slow twitch fibers, more blood in the area, isolating the muscle, who knows.

I will sometimes do a set of super slow lat pulldowns at the end of back day.  10 seconds down, 5 seconds up.  You definitely feel soreness in a new area from it.  But some of the things Kennedy recommends - super slow squats?  nah.

Slow rep speed will always lead to slow gains, dont be fooled into thinking it puts more 'stress' on the muscle that way.

You should go as fast as possible, CONTROLLED fast obviously

Nope. Absolutely not. In order to do 5 excersizes correctly you need more than half an hour to make it worth while. Training is not a race.

Not 1/2 and hour...1 1/2 hours.

Also, training under time restraints is a great way to make some good progress, especially when cutting.

If you control your ego, and dont lift like an ass, you dont need to train super slow.  :P It could work for someone who has trouble controling their EGO, or using way too much wieght.

Actually most of you guys miss something here.

He is talking about 5 WORK SETS, not including the warm up sets. Most guys do 4-5 warm up sets before one work set.

DC training is not super slow, you have an explosive positive and a slower negative movement.
