John Stutz is another physique photographer who does amazing work. His pics are like art. I thought I would throw a few up here for everyone to enjoy.

I've been a huge fan of that site for quite some time. Not every shot is a winner, but occassionally he makes one of the fitness models/bodybuilders look downright perfect in a particular shot.

John really is amazing, unfortunatley after this year he will only shoot a few more fitness/bodybuilders before he moves on to other sujects. He is working on 2 books of photography based on his pictures.

I had the pleasure of working with him this past year, though our shoot was cut a little short due to some unforseeable circumstances we were able to get a few really great shots.

I agree. John has a way of capturing a well-conditioned physique that is original and requires much effort, both on his part and on the part of the model. This was taken two years ago while I was still in figure. We tried to make something work this summer prior to Team Universe, but Texas was facing near tsunami conditions (kidding...but we couldn't seem to figure out the schedule of the daily torrential downpours that kept Dallas gray, flooded, and mosquito ridden). He said he did capture one shot, though, so it wasn't all for naught.

Not to change the subject but what about the photography of Bill Dobbins? Does he only do nude stuff or does he photograph women's physiques in general?

I know who he is...I am not terribly familiar with his work, but I don't think he does just nudes.
I'd be happy to check him out as I have time and pull a few pics for you. I'm assuming the nudes would be OK with you too?

Why do you assume that?

I've seen some of his work, and I thought he was one of the guys to work with. Ironically enough, I never hear much about him on the boards.

OH, was I WRONG about you?

Yeah he's definitely one to work with, although I personally have not had the opportunity. There are A LOT of physique photographers out there. I know I have met Bill somewhere, but I don't hear alot about him on the boards either.
His work is very interesting though...for sure. I'd love to see some pics and hear from someone who has shot with him. I'll see what I can dig up.

In the meantime, here's another of John's photos. I think that I may have missed my chance to shoot with John, as I have heard rumors that he is moving on to pursue other interests. Does anyone know if there is truth to this?

IMO, Dobbins doesn't bring anything new to the table.

Decent photograher, good quality pics, but Stutz is in a different league.

JMO.
