So I get a call a few hours ago from my best friends sister in law and it was like this.
girl: Mike, this is Tony's sister in law, "so and so", I think we met a few years ago at a party.
me: hey, how are you?
girl: well, I kind of need a favor
me: what's up?
girl: ok, my husband and I are separated and he is abusive and he has had our baby for 3 days and I am supposed to meet him and get my kid back
me: ok
girl: I know you are going to think I am crazy, but I am not from around here(which is true), and I don't know who else to call. I am scared to death of him doing something to me, last time I picked him up I thought he was going to beat me up. I am meeting him at the Starbucks on 59 and I am sure he will bring his brother and I don't think he will touch me in public but I really just want to get my child back without any problems.
me: so what can I do for you?
girl: Is there any way you could go up there with me?
me: seriously?
girl: I know it sounds ridiculous, but I know if you were there there would be any problems.
me: why isn't Tony going with you?
girl: He said you were a better guy to call, aren't you like a fighter?
me: something like that
girl: Well my husband isn't afraid of Tony(I got a kick out of that

, he is a huge dude, but way too nice to ever fight anyone)
me: Ok, so what is it that you want me to do?
girl: well, I just want to make sure he doesn't hurt me and I get my kid. I am so sorry for asking you, but I don't know anyone else to call
me: Ok, when at where?
So we meet at Starbucks and we are having a coffee and waiting for him and he pulls in, so she goes outside and I see a dude who is smaller than me even, he gets out of the car with the baby in the crib thing and just starts yelling at her. I see her reach for the baby and he pushes her hand away so I get kind of pissed and walk out there. "Hey buddy, give her her child" I say. "Mind your own business sir" he replied. I say, "this is my business, I am Tonys best friend and I am here to make sure you give her her child, no one wants a problem, so call her later if you want to argue, but not here". He gave her the kid and we went in and finished the coffee. Pretty uneventful actually, I just think it's funny that my huge friend didn't want to have a "problem" with a guy that looked like he is afraid of his own shadow, so he requested his 165 pound buddy to handle it for him.
