Defending Micheal Vick?
« on: August 27, 2007, 10:36:42 AM »
How can various athletes remain on the team roster after criminal offenses such as rape (kobe), man slaugther (too many to name), drug charges (same here) & more while Vick's dog "escapade" is about to destroy his career and hurt the Falcons financially?

I don't condone animal abuse but has this country gone soft?

I hear you, but IMO what he did is pretty twisted.

Doing that shit to dogs is a stone's throw from doing it to people.

let the punishment fit the crime, lock vick in a cage with ten angry pitbulls if he survives the hour let him rejoin the falcons sentence served. watch the hbo real sports and you'll see how sick these people involved in the dogfights are.

In the other cases you mentioned I can bet my life that there were no innocent parties involved. Lots of money exchanged and everyone makes out happy.

The Vick case is different. We as a society have to look out for the innocent, the weak and the powerless, even if it is a non-human. In this case there are no victim rights, no victim compensation. no book deals, no money, no fame, no talk shows. It is about quick decisive justice, no haggling, no bartering, no bullshit.

Well put man. Again, I don't condone any of that, I was raised on a ranch and love animals and allways respected them; from chicks to work horses.

Dogs to me, are one of the greatest animals on earth.  They ask for nothing, other than compassion and love.

Roger Godell has been suspending guys for farting in public. Vick was charged with and plead guilty to all the crimes he was accused off. One of them being a feloney. Vick tortured and killed  innocent dogs, bankrolled a dog fighting ring, gambled on dog fighting, built a kennel to breed fighting dogs and then lied about the whole thing. Vick deserves everything he gets. If Pac man was found guilty of any of the crimes he was accused of Goodel would ban him for life.

Vick was one of the faces of the most popular sport in America. The NFL is a private company. They don't owe anyone shit. If they dont want that twisted degenerate on there field then so be it. If Vick wanted to keep his millions, and career, he should have followed the law. The falcons took a chance on Vick and they made the wrong pick. Tough shit. Vick has been doing dumb shit for years. Hopefully he never has kids.

Sure Mike. Jesus loves people who torture and kill puppys when they are not game enough to fight till the death. I love this clown. Overrated football player, and a genuine pile of shit as a person. Haha Vick. Have fun with jail thinking about that 100 mill you lost when you plead guilty.

Nope.

Very good racers and some retired.  Rescue implies there was danger or harm.  There is none here. This is a racing Kennel in which I do evening turnout as a volunteer.    The dogs are all treated like kings, full air-conditoning, the whole works.  Nicer than most people will EVER treat their dog.  Petsmart accrues more injuries than all proper racing kennels combined.

Here are my two.  Darwin and Tesla.

thats cool, I knew you werent.

I know this case is going to have a backlash against it by people who think we are caring too much about animals. It is a confusing issue, because we do the same things to cows and minks and so on. So I guess justice is hard to define when it comes to animals. I hope the one thing that comes out of it, is that it scares the shit out of kids to think twice before being cruel to an animal and also maybe cops will start enforcing animal cruelity laws.

GREAT IDEA, AND IF VICK DOESN'T PUT UP A GOOD FIGHT, HE SHOULD BE ELECTRACUTED AND HUNG ON NATIONAL TV.

FVCKEN ANIMAL, HOPE HE GETS RAPED IN PRISON.

im with you on that.  he was doing this crap for YEARS.  he is not sorry.  he is sorry he got caught.  i hope he gets 2 years minimum with no chance for early release.  So at this point the public needs to keep up the pressure for him to get a stiff prison term.

IF you would like, I have Judge Henry Hudson`s office number and personal phone to voice your thoughts on Vick and what you think his punishment should be.

Judge Hudson is VERY tough from what I understand and may totally disregard the plea recommendation and opt for tougher punishment.
