Randy Couture Diet
« on: August 27, 2007, 11:23:20 AM »
There have been many refernces to his diet as a key to his training/success, but so far I have not found anything more specific then below.  Does anyone else have info on this?

"Do you follow a special diet?

Yeah.  It’s one of the more common questions that I get. I do some different things in my diet.  I try to stay away from the dairy products; a lot of broth, raw vegetables especially, and raw fruits.  Try to incorporate as much of that into my diet as possible. I still eat meat.  I tend to eat more chicken and fish than red meat. I try to combine my foods a little differently. I separate the carbs and the proteins and eat them at different times."

he used to drink that grass juice or whatever it was but i dont know if he still does  :D

i dont think there's any magic to his diet, it's just that he doesnt leave anything to chance and prepares himself very well. a lot of fights especially heavy weights doesnt.

You are a moron, Couture's diet is a high Alkaline diet, the grass juice you are refering to is called lightforce or something like that.  It also is a high Alkaline supplement.  Couture's diet is basically designed to balance his body's ph levels, it keeps his body acidity low, which basically slows down father times assault on the joints and muscle tissue, plus it oxygenates the blood.  The diet basically emphasizes lots of greens, fruits, and chicken.  There is many lists of acidic and high Alkaline foods circulating the net, find one and let it be your guide.  Maybe you should try it too Bluto,  your pasty colored chubby body will thank you.

what diet doesnt emphasize greens and fruits? ive yet to see a single expert in nutrition not recommending it to anyone regardless if theyre 15, 30 or 50 years old. man or woman. same thing with chicken. lean good protein source. just proves what i just said - no magic here.

as for my chubby boddy ive never been over 10bf bodyfat in my life.
