By the way, you got shafted with the 745i. Should have waited for the 750i or Li. And just because your car was not in the shop doesn't mean shit. Don't know if you know, but the 7 series are the worst in reliability. (New 05 and 06 750's are much better) If you don't believe me look at the resale values of the 00's 740's and early 02 and 03 745i.  Just remember to get that extended warranty before your 4 years is up

I probably won't keep it that long.  I'm looking at getting an M5 next, if I can find a decent one a year or two old.  (call me crazy, but I won't deal with the ridiculous first-year depreciation on new cars).

M5's are great cars. Are you getting the new one's or the 00-03 E39 ones? Either ones are awesome, but I love how the new V10 ones sound with the upgraded exhaust.

That's smart especially how these cars depreciate. That's why I'm looking at either an 05 or 06 E55 AMG. You can practically pick up one for a steal. On a side note Mercedes resale values as a whole are no match for bimmers, which is a good thing for people like me
