Tried them when i started out - they did nothing for me and fell apart pretty quickly (tried a few different brands). So I decided it wasn't worth my money. That was probably about 10 years ago. But if they help someone else, more power to 'em. Like the previous poster, I generally don't pay attention to what other folks are doing... unless I'm waiting for the equipment they're using!

I didn't know it was a fashion show at the gym.
I use gloves cause I sweat like an SOB.And they help my grip.PERIOD!
I only use straps to DL,And shrug.So I can concentrate on my back,And traps.
And not have to mess with grip aswell.

I love seeing batting gloves and gardening gloves in the gym...always good for a laugh

Side note: This guy was at my gym today doing legs. 1/4 squats and leg press but in all fairness, his belly got in the way on the leg press.
