Regardless of Shawn's " personality " and " height " he is, in my honest opinion, one of the greatest Bodybuilders to EVER step on stage ... his physique is FLAWLESS ! When I first started lifting weights 5.5 years ago Shawn Ray was one of my favorite Bodybuilders ... and surprisingly, the picture featured in this Thread ( the one with the vein protruding from his Forehead ) was the EXACT picture I had posted on my wall for motivation ...  8)

when shawn decided to add mass towards to the end of his career he runied his physique imo
Lost his conditioning and started to look abit blocky, he was definetly at his best in the 90's. 1993, 1994, 96 and 97

No doubt, on drugs, Shawn Ray looked unreal...today, a different story.  I wonder if he started training again how he'd look off the sauce?
That's the thing with these guys, with drugs, they have the drive, etc.  With no drugs, they usually fall short.  Perfect physique though on drugs.

I'm not so sure what you mean by " these guys " because I know quite a few people that no longer use Steroids that have great physiques and STILL have an insane drive to train. You shouldn't stereotype ... and if you don't mind me asking ... why is it that you come across so bitter in your posts ? I'm not trying to be rude ... just curious.

Not bitter at all.  I'm just pointing out the fact that most guys who make 90% of their gains, while on gear, usually don't do much off it.  It's just how it is.  I'm sure there are some who look great on/off, but it seems like most who are "hardcore" about training/drug use, usually can't do squat without them.  Usually, the reason why they begin with drugs.
Again, not all, but the majority I'd say.
