Why can`t Americans locate the United States on the map?

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, um, some people out there in our nation don’t have maps and uh, I believe that our, I, education like such as uh, South Africa, and uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., uh, should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for us.

Eh, I see where you are trying to go with this one...but it ends up sounding quite lame. You should've used the French as a punching bag instead. Tried, true and laboratory tested.

People in general are stupid.  I don't think that Americans hold the franchise on that.  I know plenty of stupid people from all over the world.  Maybe one out of every hundred people I meet isn't stupid.

No, I'm pretty sure I meant "stupid".  If you add in the merely ignorant, the number goes from 1 in 100 to 1 in 1000.
