Who are your role models?
« on: September 06, 2007, 08:55:52 AM »
For me, I would say Donald Trump.

Sure, some of you might say he's a pompous asshole who's made money off selling himself , and not his real estate, but the man's great.

One of the reasons I went from disliking him strongly to liking him is his story of how he knew some potato farmer who was struggling, but he liked his potatoes.  A little later, he introduced him as a favor to the owner of a little place called McDonalds and talked the mcdonalds owner into buying his potatoes.

Needless to say, the potato farmer is not a billionaire, all because Donald decided to have dinner with the both of them.

He didn't make a dime off it, but created a billionaire overnight who in turn, now employs thousands of people.

Who are yours?

Ed Kemper is up there for me.  He definitely has a great sense of humor, was a great cook, and was almost 7 feet tall.

Q: Reporter to Ed Kemper: "What do you think now when you see a pretty girl walking down the street?" A: One side of me says, 'Wow, what an attractive chick, I'd like to talk to her, date her.' The other side of me says, 'I wonder how her head would look on a stick?'

"I wanted them to be a part of me - and now they are." -Ed Kemper, after cutting the calves off of two of his victims' legs and then cooking it in a macaroni casserole

Why he buried victums' heads in his yard facing upward to his Mother's window: "She always wanted people to look up to her." - Edmund Kemper

"That seemed appropriate", he would would later tell cops, "as much as she'd bitched and screamed and yelled at me over so many years". - Edmund Kemper after having sex with his mother's decapitated body, he ripped out her larynx and jammed it down the garbage disposal.  He also used her head as a dartboard.  When he turned the garbage disposal on, the larynx came flying back up at him. "Even when she was dead, she was still bitching at me…I couldn't get her to shutup!" - Edmund Kemper

I wouldn't say role models, but these two figures are quite amazing, Arnold and Roman Abramovich

For Abramovich what he has made out of his life is amazing.
